Why Online Mix?

Steve’s online mix service can offer a great solution to those who wish to utilise his vast experience and wealth of knowledge without the need for them to travel to a studio. With his online mix service you can get outstanding quality mixes to take your project to the level it deserves to be. Steve has over 25 years of experience mixing music for film, television and record, with an excellent portfolio including Hollywood blockbusters and proven track record resulting in multiple Grammy nominations,  that has kept him in demand with many of todays most revered names.

How does it work?

You will need to provide mono or stereo audio files in WAV or AIFF format with a 16bit or 24bit depth at  44.1, 48, 88.2 or 96kHz sample rate. All files must be the same bit depth, sample rate and format. Each track should be clearly labelled or referenced to a track sheet all tracks should preferably be bounced to a single reference point, e.g. bar 0. Try to avoid audio clipping within the provided files. There is no limit to the track count or duration of the track(s) you would like to be mixed and almost any scenario can be accommodated for. You can supply these tracks either over the internet or via post. If you would like to supply the tracks over the internet feel free to use any file sharing service that you are comfortable with or if you would like Steve can supply you with a temporary FTP account.

Providing as much information as possible before commencing the mix including mix notes and even commercial records to reference would be useful.

Final mixes will be subject to four revisions for you to objectively tweak elements and provides a chance to experiment with certain ideas you might have.

Once you are happy, mixes will be uploaded to a secure file sharing service or FTP depending on your requirements where they will remain for a maximum 1 month. After this 1 month the files will be deleted unless otherwise stated or agreed prior to the commencement of the mix.

What does it cost?

A price for the service will be negotiated between yourselves and Steve with respect to several factors including complexity of the source material (i.e. high track counts, duration of the track etc) and the format of the mix you would like to receive (5.1 mix, 5.1 stems, stereo mix etc).
